MCP tools reference
Every tool and prompt the Flows MCP server provides, grouped by what they work with.
Your agent picks the right tool based on your request, so you don't need to name tools yourself. This page lists them so you know what the agent can do and which tools you may want to allow or block in your client.
Tools marked Read only read data. Tools marked Write create, change or delete data, and most clients ask for your approval before running them. See Safety for how changes reach your users.

flows_list_organizations | Read | List your organizations with their environments, languages and workflow groups. Most other tools start here. |
flows_save_workflow_group | Write | Create or update a workflow group, which limits how many of its workflows a user sees at once. |
flows_reorder_workflow_groups | Write | Set which workflow group goes first when a user qualifies for workflows from several groups. |
flows_delete_workflow_group | Write | Delete a workflow group. Its workflows keep running without the group's limits. |

flows_get_workflow | Read | Read a whole workflow: its blocks, settings, connections, published versions and any issues to fix. |
flows_create_workflow | Write | Create an empty workflow, optionally with a recipe for the kind of workflow you want to build. |
flows_edit_workflow | Write | Add, update, remove and connect blocks in a workflow's draft, in a single call. |
flows_duplicate_workflow | Write | Copy a workflow's draft into a new unpublished workflow. |
flows_delete_workflow | Write | Delete a workflow with all its versions and stop it everywhere it runs. Cannot be undone. |

flows_reset_user_progress | Write | Let a user go through a workflow again from the start, for example to test it after publishing. |

flows_create_environment_secret | Write | Create a secret your backend uses for identity verification. It's shown only once. |
flows_delete_environment_secret | Write | Delete an identity verification secret. Backends still signing with it fail verification. |

Prompts are ready made instructions for common tasks. You start them from your client, and the agent then uses the tools above to finish the task. Every argument is optional unless noted.

analyze_drop_off | workflow (required), environment, period | Find where users drop out of a workflow and propose changes to copy, steps, targeting or timing. |
localize_workflow | workflow (required), language (required), tone | Translate every text of a workflow, including survey questions, into another language. |
